RENOVACIÓN DE ARRECIFES: Unprecedented Scale, Driven by Locals, Guided by Experience, Focused on Resilience = Transformational Reef Restoration
General project objectives:
Rebuild the Cayo Largo reef system with enhanced physical and biological resilience by propagating Acropora palmata and opportunity corals.
Provide an alternative source of income for some of the island’s most economically vulnerable residents.
Establish the foundation for a robust scientific and monitoring program.
Promote coral reef conservation education among children and youth through hands-on learning experiences.

Community Empowerment: Coral Technician Training
We are initiating a Coral Restoration Training Program with a fisher man.
The idea with this is program is dedicated to providing SCUBA diving and coral restoration training to a few of the most at-need residents of the island, equipping them with the skills and knowledge necessary for future work in the emerging Restoration Blue Economy.
