ISER Caribe Partnership

Partnership to outplant ~80,000 coral fragments in SW and NE Puerto Rico.

Sea Ventures MRU is working in partnership with ISER Caribe to increase the coral cover and diversity of 4 reefs, in two regions in Puerto Rico. The main goal is to outplant at least 20,000 coral fragments in each reef. The main species that we are outplanting are:

1) Orbicella faveolata - Mountainous star coral

2) Orbicella annularis - Boulder star coral

3) Orbicella franksi - Lobed star coral

4) Dendrogyra cylindrus - Pillar coral

5) Pseudodiploria strigosa - Symmetrical brain coral

6) Montastrea cavernosa - Great star coral

7) Colpophyllia natans - Boulder brain coral
